AllSimonsSpellfireDecks.zip (Windows users should probably download this one.)

AllSimonsSpellfireDecks.tgz (.tgz is the excuse for the bad Tarred and Feathered joke in the title. It compresses smaller than zip and decompression tools come pre-installed on Mac OSX and most versions of Linux.)

I finally wrote a script to automate creating these every time I upload changes to my decks. Hooray for automation.

It’s time to start building your best deck ever because the 1st Annual Online Anti-Speed Spellfire Tournament is a go! The Chase Card Prizes have been finalized and they’re great (12 total including The Winner’s Cape and Gib Drawsemaj)! And all participants get a Wardmeister Strategy promo card.

I need your help getting the word out about this event. I made a simple PDF flyer. Please print it out and hang it up at your local game and hobby stores.

After playing a game against Gib_Ekul on CrossFire the other evening, I was inspired to try my hand at designing a thief deck for the anti-speed format. Without all the standard speed cards taking up so much space in the deck, I was free to experiment with different themes and strategies. I came up with a very nasty deck (if I do say so myself). I’m finally getting around to organizing my Spellfire cards. In the process, I found a piece of paper describing the deck I used to win the Spellfire Tournament at GenCon 1995. I aptly name it “Simon’s Really Tough Tournament Deck”! (more…)
